Eaten lunch here several times in the past two months. The food is the attraction here, the dishes always well-prepared and the seafood fresh, a must for a Japanese restaurant. Nice ambiance, and tables out front are great for people-watching. Service is generally prompt and polite.

Clean, sleek and cool: that's the vibe at this Astoria sushi heaven. The ambiance alone is worth a visit: exposed brick wall, water flow, posh leather bench seating or casual tables.

Excellent lunch special from 11:30-3:30. Portions are gigantic and the food is delicious, they do not skimp on food at all. There are roll
Combination lunch specials which include soup and salad. The teriyaki combo was a gigantic piece of salmon, friend rice, shumai , California roll vegetables and soup and salad.

The sushi is fresh and the roll choices ( even for the lunch menu) are delicious. Excellent value!

My favorite sushi spot in all of queens. Hands down the best place for your sushi needs and the drinks are always so tasty. I love the staff and the owner and his wife are so friendly. DD is the best manager and always friendly to all the customers. After a long hard day I like to stop here for a few drinks and sushi. Go visit them next time your in town.

We originally went in just for drinks. I wanted to try the spicy tuna roll and my husband decided to have the spicy salmon roll. Both were really good seeing how it was a first. I really need to learn how to use chopsticks . The prices are really cheap for the food. The drink prices are fair. I also loved their bathroom it was clean and smelled good. For me it says a lot about a business.

I have been going to Watawa for over a decade. Great food and always fresh. The service is a bit on the flat side but the food makes up for it. The spring rolls are delicious and the gyoza and shumai are always on point.
My only minus is the fact that they never have any wild fish. The menu has not changed in over a decade and it would be nice if they added some special rolls again.
Delivery is always fast and the driver is super sweet.

Hands down for me BEST sushi is NYC!!! I have had sushi in many different states in the USA and this might possibly even be the best overall for me!

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful very modern and sexy. They have a water feature in the back of the restaurant that you can sit near which is very intimate for a date night. The bar is lit up and looks crystal like it's not very big so not that much seating but a cool spot to hang with some friends. The drinks are strong and delicious especially their Chocolate Martini it's my Favorite. They have a wide selection of Sake hot and cold which is cool.

The fish is always super fresh and taste magnificent. For the maki they put the perfect amount of rice because I don't like when the rolls are rice heavy the fish should be the star. One of my favorite specialty rolls is the Bumble bee it's absolutely amazing must try. Their sushi and sashimi are also amazing. For those that are not sushi eaters their chicken Katsu will knock your socks off. It's like a fried chicken cutlet battered in Panko served with white rice delicious.

I love coming here for lunch because for $11 you can get the chicken Katsu which comes with Miso soup (theirs is very flavorful) white rice, goyza, and a Cali roll (which you can switch for a different one for a $1) it's the perfect lunch!!

Awesome restaurant delicious sushi if you have the chance try it out.. I will say it's packed on the weekends so expect a wait!

My third visit here this past year and my first review! Their sashimi/sushi is suuuuper good. All the sashimi's are well sized and very fresh. My favorites are the uni (sea urchin), toro, and salmon sashimi's. Their salmon hand rolls are also a very good selection!

Overall, one of the few good sushi spots around Astoria for the budget. Highly recommended. Will definitely be coming back, again.

My roommates and I get watawa sushi once a week. It is just that good! Always fresh and good portions. The lunch special is our go-to whenever we can get it: chicken teriyaki, sushi/sashimi plate, or salmon rolls and NY roll are our go to. Definitely worth it either for take out or dine in. Dine in we tried other things as well: fried tofu, grilled squid, rolls. Great service, big restaurant with lots of seating, and delicious food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here on a late Saturday night in Astoria. We had been out all day spending time with friends and decided we wanted to grab a bite of sushi. Our family recommended this place and we all went out.

As usual we ordered a variety of rolls, appetizers, and sushi. A couple of my favorites were the Tuna Tartare and the Sushi and Sashimi sampler. All the fish was very fresh.

Service was fairly attentive and prompt. I would definitely come back here on another trip back to the City to visit family for sure. Enjoy.
