One of the best sushi spots in the big Apple. Very reasonable prices for such great food quality. Nicely decorated restaurant and great staff. Would recommend the Pauline special roll.

No complaints at all from start to finish. Ambience was nice; we were seated in the back by an indoor "pond." Slightly overpowering floral scents used, but otherwise we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Had two apps, Yellowtail Toro JalapeƱo and Miso Chilean Seabass, both very nicely done. Sashimi Combo and Chirashi for entrees and the fish was fresh and spot on. Will definitely come again

Watawa's sushi is great. The sashimi was fresh and the rolls were heavenly. My cousins Katsu chicken was also really good. We also had cocktails that were very creative. I cannot fault it in anyway. Would revisit.

I've been told by many that Watawa has the best sushi in Astoria. Not gonna argue it.

The fish is so fresh and the food is so good! It's never super busy so you can always snag a table and sit outside when it's nice out. I had the fried squid appetizer which was really big, the dragon roll, watawa wasabi roll, a spider roll, and a spicy salmon roll. All were really good and the prices are good too!

Watawa Sushi is my go-to for sushi rolls. I usually do take out here when my hubby and I drive by. We both like how generous and big the filling in the middle is compared to a lot of other casual sushi shops. We like to order four sushi rolls to go and we recommend the Yellowtail Scallion, Salmon, New York, and Spicy Scallop rolls. All rolls are fresh and pretty flavorful and definitely not fishy at all. Spicy Scallop is my favorite as always and it has a tiny bit of a spicy kick and tempura flakes gives it a nice crunch.

For sit-down, I have been here twice for that. Iced Green Tea comes in a huge jug that it's good enough to share with someone. One time, we got the Tuna Tartare with wasabi caviar with a citrusy-soy sauce. This was actually pretty good and I loved the wasabi kick each bite.

Presentation of each dish is really pretty, too! Nice neighborhood sushi spot!

This is by far the best sushi place I've been to in the Astoria area, if not one of the best in NYC. You can always tell that the rolls are made fresh, and they aren't holding out on the fish either. This place is one of the hotspots in the Astoria Ditmars area, with its beautiful and spacious decor, to its really helpful and friendly staff.

The food itself is great, especially for lunch. I always get the three roll lunch special, which also comes with miso soup and salad for $14, which is a great price for both the quality and quantity served. I've also tried their Rock Shrimp and Grilled Squid appetizers, and they are just delicious. All in all I would recommend this place to both die hard sushi lovers and new comers alike, it's a must try in Astoria!

My favorite sushi spot in Astoria. The sushi always taste fresh. It's a bit on the pricey side when paying $20 for some fancy rolls, but it's worth it
